In March 2023, Konet announces the new backup system for cPanel accounts, JetBackup 5. If you have logged in to your cPanel account recently, you have probably noticed it already.
Why we moved away from R1Soft
For 15 years we used R1Soft as our Backup system. In the past, by general agreement of every company in the industry, it was the best Backup and Restoration solution for Shared Hosting.
In recent years, however, R1Soft changed owners several times and its updates became less and less frequent. In January 2023, when we set up our new systems, we could not get it to work smoothly.
After a lot of digging, we concluded that R1Soft did not support the new OS we were using. We contacted the developers, got no response and looked for an alternative. We tested several systems and settled on JetBackup 5.
What you can do with JetBackup 5
With JetBackup 5 you can instantly restore, or download locally, the files, emails and databases of your account. The process completes in just a few seconds, thanks to our powerful Backup servers and our 10Gbit lines.
