Two PHP 8.2 versions in cPanel
In cPanel you will find two versions available, one from cPanel (ea-php8.2) and one from CloudLinux (alt-php8.2).
Which version we recommend
We recommend using alt-php8.2 together with the PHP Selector (Select PHP Version). Compared to ea-php8.2, it has considerably broader support and integrates better with the PHP Selector.
PHP Selector instead of MultiPHP
Remember to use the PHP Selector instead of the MultiPHP Manager and the MultiPHP INI Editor, so you can manage PHP Settings and PHP Extensions more easily.
