Dear customer,
PHP 8.3 installed
In early April we installed PHP 8.3 on all our Linux servers. PHP 8.3 is available both as the cPanel build (EA PHP) and as the CloudLinux build (ALT PHP). Our Windows servers will follow soon.
As always, we recommend that you use ALT PHP.
Higher PHP limits
At the same time, we raised the PHP limits on all Linux servers for PHP versions 7.4, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.
For more details about the changes, see the related announcement.
To get all of the increased limits above, you need to use the CloudLinux PHP Selector and a CloudLinux PHP version, that is an ALT PHP, and not a cPanel EA PHP. You can switch with just a few clicks from the Select PHP Version button in cPanel.
If you are on a PHP version older than 8.1, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to at least PHP 8.1 as soon as possible. Ideally, you should now be using PHP 8.1, 8.2 or 8.3. The older the PHP version you use, the bigger the security gaps you will have. That is why you should always make sure your website runs the latest PHP version.
If you have any questions about these upgrades, do not hesitate to contact us!
Kind regards,
Konet
