Important Security Notice, Phishing Emails

Konet · · 1 min read

This security notice concerns phishing emails sent in Konet's name. In March 2020 we detected malicious attempts to deceive Konet customers by third parties, through phishing emails that appear to come from addresses such as konet.gr@gmail.com, konet@gmail.com or other similar ones. Their goal is to persuade you to enter your credentials (username, password). How to recognise email scams is explained in detail in a separate guide.

At Konet, we constantly watch for malicious actions targeting our customers. These messages have in no way been sent by Konet.

These emails urge you to follow a link leading to a page that, among other things, asks for your account access credentials or displays infected web pages.

What to do if you receive such an email

If you receive such an email, ignore it and delete it immediately, without taking any further action.

For your security, we remind you that:

1. Konet and its website konet.gr will never, in any way, ask you for your secret passwords, for example by phone, SMS or email. Your passwords are strictly personal and you must not reveal them to anyone.

2. Any login to our systems must be made only through the official Konet website (konet.gr) and not through links found on other websites, in search engines, in SMS or in emails.

If you receive such a message and follow the link by mistake, contact us immediately at our company phone number 2310 501800 so that we can give you instructions on how to avoid any unpleasant consequences.
