To stop brute force attacks by bots, Konet has enabled login protection on all its servers for cPanel and for the WordPress login page. Both systems are features of Imunify360 and were made permanent in 2023, after a trial period.
cPanel login protection
Made permanent in August 2023. When you go to log in to your cPanel, you may see a check screen for about 1 second with a message such as "Please wait". The system checks whether you are a human or a bot and then takes you to the login page. Only if the verification fails will it ask you to solve a simple Captcha.
WordPress login protection
Made permanent in early November 2023, after a one-month trial. It protects the WordPress admin login page of every website we host, and significantly reduces automated attempts to guess your password. You do not need to install any plugin.
If you cannot log in
If you cannot solve the Captcha, or if the check screen does not take you to the login page automatically, contact us by phone or ticket. Login protection works best together with a strong password and two-step verification.
