The SpamExperts Incoming Email Protection service provided by Konet is designed to filter unwanted mail (spam, phishing, viruses). However, no solution is 100% perfect, and sometimes a legitimate email may be wrongly flagged as spam (false positive).
To prevent this from happening again, SpamExperts lets you train its algorithm through the Train Not Spam feature. This way, you make sure that the emails that matter to you are delivered normally to your inbox.
Step by step: Training Not Spam messages
-
Log in to cPanel
– Log in to your cPanel.
– In the Email section, click Professional Spam Filter. -
Access the SpamExperts Control Panel
– From the left menu, select Train Not Spam (in the General section). -
Select the wrongly filtered email
There are two ways:-
Drag & Drop:
Drag the email from Webmail or your Email Client (e.g. Outlook, Thunderbird) into the designated box. -
File upload (.eml or .msg):
Save the email to your computer and upload it with Browse → Upload.
-
-
Confirmation
– If the process completes successfully, you will see a green success indicator.
– From then on, the filter will recognize similar emails as legitimate and deliver them to your inbox.
Note: You may need to train the system more than once until it correctly "learns" the characteristics of the messages you consider wanted.
For the opposite case, spam that reached your inbox, see the guide training with Train Spam.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Why should I use Train Not Spam?
Because sometimes important emails (e.g. from partners or customers) may be wrongly blocked as spam. Training improves the accuracy of the filter.
2. What format should the email be in?
The .eml and .msg formats are supported, which you can export from most Email Clients.
3. How quickly does the filter learn?
Usually, after the first training, SpamExperts adjusts its rules immediately. If mistakes keep recurring, train the system with more examples.
4. Can I use Train Not Spam for many emails at once?
Yes, you can upload multiple .eml/.msg files or drag & drop many messages together, as long as your client supports it.
5. What should I do if legitimate emails keep getting blocked?
Contact the Konet Support Department. Our team can fine-tune the filter for your account.
