You can enable Memcached on your website to get object caching that reduces database load.
What is Object Caching?
Object caching stores the results of database queries so that they are not executed again and again. This reduces the load on the database and makes the website faster – especially if it has many dynamic pages or heavy content.
What is Memcached?
Memcached is an open-source caching system that runs in the server's RAM.
In simple terms:
-
It drastically reduces page load time.
-
It is ideal for websites with high traffic or complex databases.
-
It is offered FREE on all hosting plans at Konet.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Do I need to install additional plugins?
For WordPress, no – LiteSpeed Cache is enough. For other CMSs, you may need a plugin or module (e.g. Joomla Cache Extension).
2. What if Memcached does not work?
Make sure you have set the username/password correctly in the LSMCD Manager. If the problem persists, open a ticket with Support.
3. What is the difference between Memcached and Redis?
Redis supports more features (e.g. data persistence), while Memcached is lighter and faster for object caching. Both are provided on our servers. For Redis, see the LiteSpeed Redis Cache Manager guide.
4. How much speed do I gain?
Load time is usually reduced by 30-50% on dynamic sites with many databases.
5. Is there an additional cost?
No. At Konet, Memcached is offered free on all hosting plans.
